Add On Card - ESP8266 WiFi Module

This add on card allows compatible NLED controllers and other devices to interface with a wireless network. It features a ESP8266 WiFi module, in the ESP-01 version. It includes on-board 3.3v voltage regulator, tank capacitance for reliable connections, and breakout DIP spaced solder pads for connecting to other devices. Pin headers or wires can be used to connect this add on card to other devices.

This hardware design is released for free for personal and commerical use.

Add On Card - Differential Transciever

For use with the Pixel Controller Electron and Pixel Controller Ion. This add on board adds the a differential transceiver to the pixel controller allowing it to either receive DMX-512 to control the connected pixels or to transmit a DMX-512 universe to other standard DMX lighting. This device operates on 3.3 volts and a solder jumper selects the usage mode(recieve or transmit). The DMX in/out is accessed through a 3 position DIP spaced header pads, user can connect wires directly or as 3-pin molex header.

This hardware design is released for free for personal and commerical use.

NEC Infrared Decoder and Encoder Board

Receives a raw modulated or demodulated NEC IR signal and converts it into bytes that are sent out the serial port. The serial baud rate is selectable from two default speeds. The default usage mode transmits out a command sequence with framing bytes, address high, address low, and the validated command byte. This device is designed to remove the work load of protocol decoding from the main processor, which could be a PIC, Arduino, FTDI, or other similar serial capable device. It supports full duplex communication when using an I.R. transceiver.

Note: Just saw that one side of the PCB says v.1c and the other says v.1b, not going to fix it. Maybe in the future

Bluetooth Low Energy Addon Card

This add on carrier card adds Bluetooth low energy compatibility to NLED controllers over a transparent UART, also called a 'serial bridge'. This allows for a phone or other Bluetooth device to interface and control NLED controllers and products. A Microchip RN4871 module allows easy implementation of Bluetooth to devices with only serial inputs. There are many ways to interface with this type of module using Bluetooth protocols, such as GATT.
