Bootloader Support - Firmware Updates
Most NLED controllers offer bootloader support, a bootloader allows the device's firmware to be updated over a USB(or serial in some cases) cable and a small program. Updating the firwmare allows bugs to be fixed and features to be added. Check your devices webpage for update information or contact Support if you found a bug or have any questions about usage.
Firmware updates are distributed as HEX files. They are incldued with NLED Aurora Magician in the /deviceupdates folder, or can be downloaded from the webpage linked below.

NLED products with USB ports will utilize the USB HID bootloader.

Serial bootloader is used for devices without a USB port. Bootloading requires a USB to Serial Adapter(FTDI or similar). Or a TTL level serial adapter.
